We pride ourselves in our reputation and the unique ability to work on all vehicles, no matter the make/model/year. We are currently seeking a qualified automotive restoration and performance technician to join our team full time.Fun Fact: We were just honored in being voted Best Body Shop as well as Hometown Favorite Auto Shop/Mechanic in Best of Geneva Lakes 2021!To be considered for this position, candidate(s) MUST have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician, and/or automotive school experience, be detail-oriented, display problem-solving abilities, and have a desire to learn and grow as a professional technician. A passion for everything cars is necessary because we do it all!It is also imperative to bring a positive attitude, sense of humor, and a team approach. We are a growing shop that is looking to expand with the needs of our customers. Basic tools are required. Pay is based on experience.Paid VacationPaid HolidaysHealth Savings AccountUniforms includedHourly pay - we are not flat rateBonus incentivesListed below are some of the job duties required for the position of automotive restoration technician. Job requirements include, but are not limited to:Be able to lift a min of 50 lbs.Be able to sit-stand-crouch-work overhead and lay on a creeper for extended periods of timeBe able to follow oral and written instructionsPerform service advisor duties (as mutually agreed if desired)Be able to work with power tools-(air impact-air hammer-grinder-drill-cut off tool-etc.)Be able to keep a clean and organized work area/toolsDisassembly/reassembly of vehicle projectsPerform repairs and restoration on all classic car and performance vehicles while meeting timely deadlinesBe able to work carefully and cleanly around restoration projects or classic and performance vehiclesDiagnostic skills will be necessaryWelding and fabrication skills a plusAssist with chassis dyno setup (willingness to learn tuning is preferred)Have a clean driving record and valid driver's license-with reliable transportationHave a minimum of hand toolsClean/organize shop on a daily/weekly basis and as neededDegrease-power wash-disassemble-clean-sandblast and prep for paint or reassemblyAccurately record time spent on restoration workMake sure pictures and/or documentation is done before/during/after projectsHave close attention to detailOther duties as assignedVisit our website at www.countrysideclassicswi.com or visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Csideclassics ... Happy Friday, everyone! ❄️We are looking to finish up the Skylark as soon as a few parts show up, but we think the wheels give it a nice modern twist. The Charger is getting reassembled after sitting apart for many years so we are looking forward to seeing it come back to life. We are entering the final stages on Steve's '78 Cadillac Eldorado after it got a full engine bay and suspension overhaul. The '40 Buick Special is getting the oil leak taken care of as well as a few other things to keep her going strong.Many other projects in the works and on deck, so we will keep you posted!
